The Best of Ecuador: The Andes and Its Volcanoes

Ecuador is a country of incredible diversity, home to towering volcanoes, lush cloud forests, and expansive highlands. The mighty Cotopaxi, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world, dominates the skyline, while the towering Chimborazo holds the title of the closest point on Earth to the sun due to its position at the equator. The volcanic landscapes are complemented by beautiful lakes such as Quilotoa, an emerald crater lake, and the Avenue of the Volcanoes, which stretches across the Andes, offering panoramic views of snow-capped peaks. Ecuador is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

In Ecuador, skiing is not as common an activity as in other countries with big mountains
